Christa’s program not only helped me restore hormonal balance, but also got me off sugar and helped me eliminate infections. I cannot recommend this program enough. Christa now has a FREE video series where she addresses what I often talk about and demonstrate in class, re-coding your glandular system. After taking both the morning elixir and the golden milk, I had extreme nausea. I am wondering if it is because of combining the collagen with something other than water. I have taken collagen before, but only with water. I don’t think anything else in the recipes would have caused this. I have drunk 16 oz of water with the juice of half a lemon for years first thing in the morning and have drunk full-fat coconut milk as well with no problem. The nausea put a firm stop to my following your protocol.

Hi Carrie! It could be that you’re reacting to a specific ingredient in the recipes. I would experiment with it – with the Elixir, just try lemon and ginger and omit the honey and see how your body responds. With the Golden Milk, leave out the Gaia powder and try tumeric and pepper instead. If you react to them, then don’t include them. f you can’t use a specific recipe, it’s perfectly ok. The full program is all about meeting your body where it’s at and teaching you how to determine which foods, and which combinations of foods work best… Read more »

I recently saw Christa’s video as part of the Menopause summit. I saw several other videos that advocated different ways of eating for menopause – one was high protein & a strict 3 meals a day. Another approach was Keto-green (alkalizing keto) which was mostly vegetables.

What makes this approach better than either of those?

I’ve always read that if you have adrenal fatigue, you shouldn’t eat fruit in the morning and when you do eat fruit, make it separate from other foods.
Also, I try to stay away from too much dairy (no good for the prostate). Do you have a recommendation for coconut yogurt? It’s hard to find, other than the sugary flavored kind. Maybe I could make it. Should it be full fat from cans if I make it?

Hi! You must at least eat fish (and preferably eggs) to do The Adrenal ReCode program. Otherwise, you will not be able to implement our Six Pillar strategy. We prefer to use protein from animals so that your body does not have to work harder to convert the protein into the energy you need. This is especially important when we are in a state of adrenal fatigue and locked into the fight-or-flight cycle as our bodies do not have the extra reserves it takes in the way of bacteria and enzymes to break down and utilize vegetarian sources of protein.… Read more »

Hi Marie! The key to weight loss is hormone balance – you can juice all the vegetables you want and chain yourself to a treadmill, but if your hormones are out of balance you will not lose weight and often gain weight. This is exactly what we address in the full Adrenal ReCode Program. It’s not specifically a weight loss program. There is plenty of food to eat, and the beautiful thing about the nature of this work is it does not manipulate your body, it works to create amazing homeostasis in your body. Hi Wendy! We generally recommend cooked, peeled apple in the beginning because it is easier to digest than eating it raw. Pectin is an insoluble fiber found in the skin of apples and pears and can be tough to break down for someone whose energy systems are compromised. We recommend peeling them for the first month or two on our program until a certain level of healing is ascertained. Then, you can leave the skins on as they help turn water into a gel-like substance in the intestines which helps slow down digestion as well as keeps your blood sugar… Read more »

Hi Sarah! We’re so glad the information is resonating with you. Then, you can leave the skins on as they help turn water into a gel-like substance in the intestines which helps slow down digestion as well as keeps your blood sugar balanced for longer.

Are you supposed to eat breakfast immediately after drinking the elixir, or is that done on a different day? I usually drink 2 16 oz smoothies – water, raw greens, frozen fruit (pineapples, papaya, mango, strawberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, and/or melons) and bananas. I would think this is good for the ratio. Is this a suitable alternative for breakfast? Should I still drink the elixir before?

I was told that greens contain plant protein. I usually drink my smoothies up to 1/2 hour before lunch. Also since I have IBS, I was told not to eat fruit with fat, as it causes stomach problems. I do tend to low blood sugar, but I don’t have the blood sugar spikes first thing in the morning. Also where is collagen available? I couldn’t find it at my grocery store. Is there a natural substitute?

Hey Nancy,
In the full program, as we catalog, we’ll be able to see how that green works for you and where to best fit it in based upon what your body tells us. We’d offer you digestive enzymes before meals to allow your body to process the fruit/fat combo just fine until you no longer have IBS and your gut, stomach, liver, and gallbladder are all working in harmony for the easiest digestive process. Collagen is available online from Bubs Naturals and Vital Proteins.

Are there ways to modify the program if I have histamine intolerance?

Absolutely, Karen. We have many people in the full adrenal recode program with histamine intolerance and so this program by proxy of the clinical approach works to heal that and in the meantime, we incorporate a strategy that doesn’t trigger it.
